THE LINEUP

Jesse Judies

Jesse Judies is the moniker of San Francisco indie mainstay, Nick Bray. Bray began producing music as Jesse Judies in 2018, when he embarked on his first full length record entitled Thoughts In A Loop. Shortly after wrapping the final touches on Thoughts In A Loop, Covid 19 kicked off and Bray relocated to Sydney to avoid being separated from his Aussie partner when Australia closed its borders. Though torn from his San Francisco indie roots, Bray stayed busy during the pandemic by finding new creative collaborators and he shot and released the video for Chemistry in Oct 2020 before releasing Thoughts In A Loop in early 2021.

Kacie Hill

San Francisco based singer-songwriter Kacie Hill writes music which attempts to bring meaning to the mundane through conversational yet poignant lyricism, and draws similarities to some of her favorites artists, such as Joni Mitchell and Phoebe Bridgers. Drawing from influences spanning folk, indie, and alternative genres, Kacie has crafted a distinctive sound that merges introspective storytelling with captivating melodies. Kacie’s latest single California Blue is out now, with more on the way.

Mild Universe

Mild Universe is a San Francisco based collective crafting dreamy dance music. Their debut self titled EP is full of genre-bending, energetic dance anthems with simple, repetitive lyrics that are an homage to 90’s club music, with a disco-era instrumental feel. They have gained a reputation in the Bay Area for the live shows which spark a dance party atmosphere. Stylistically their sound is hypnotic with lengthy improvisational sections which provide a foundation for their soulful lead singer. Mild Universe aims to unite communities through music and movement.

¿Qiensave?

¿Qiensave? (Quien-Sa-Be) is a Cumbia Urbana group from Salinas, California with roots stretching back to Michoacán, Mexico.  ¿Qiensave? creates high-energy dance music that has fortunately blessed the band with the opportunity to perform throughout California, Arizona, Mexico and Colombia. While ¿Qiensave? has existed as a musical entity since 2009. Within the last few years, the band has picked up steam through touring, releasing their album “Mujer” in 2019.

Spooky Mansion

Est. 2015, Spooky Mansion produces a soundscape of breezy, sultry surf imbued with the passion of soul and the energy of rock-n-roll. Bay-Area-bred and led by the rickety rasp of charismatic singer/songwriter Grayson Converse, their music is nestled in the vicinity of soulful garage-rock, propelled by energetic guitars, nimble drums, and sweeping and invitingly fuzzy vocals.

Suzanimal

Suzanimal is a smart, playful psychedelic pop/rock project from San Francisco Bay Area singer, songwriter and bassist Suzanne Galal. Inspired by her love of Talking Heads and the Tom Tom Club.  Galal — a scientist and pharmacy professor by day — picked up a bass guitar for the first time at the age of 30, and began writing confident, groove-centered tracks soon after. With Galal’s seductive yet light-as-air vocals, lyrics driven by her curiosity about the human mind, and a cast of veteran backing musicians, the band quickly earned a reputation for engaging live performances and genre-defying style. A Suzanimal show is designed to make you lose yourself to the rhythm — with just enough of the unexpected to keep you on your toes ‘til the afterparty.

The Band Ice Cream

With a 3rd studio LP tracked by Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Jeff Rosenstock, Remo Drive) out now, front-man & Toronto native Kevin Fielding has undoubtedly piloted the band far since their nationally-recognized 2017 debut. Now with regional acclaim & multiple full-length U.S. tours under their belt, the group is performing their most poignant, polished tracks yet in support of PLAY DEAD.
